Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 4–9 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We had a great time at the 100’s Seafood Grill Buffet in Mission Valley! Such a pretty interior, feels like you’re inside a nice hotel. Fresh ingredients with staff preparing many right in front of you. There’s crab, oysters, mussels, shrimp, sushi, duck, Chinese food, prime rib, soup, salad, fruit, gelato, cake, cookies, and more. Definitely one of the top buffets in San Diego. It was around $44 per adult on the weekend. Friendly staff that are constantly coming over and giving refills and cleaning plates. Recommend!

This is one of those places we come back to almost every month, especially when we can’t decide what to eat because everyone can find something they love here. The selection is incredibly diverse. You’ll find sushi and fresh sashimi, Cantonese dim sum, Chinese hot dishes, roast duck served with steamed buns, freshly carved steak, made-to-order Mongolian stir-fry, and a great variety of soups including miso seafood tofu soup, Chinese seafood soup, and clam chowder. The seafood bar is always a highlight for us, with fresh snow crab legs and oysters, plus a nice selection of salads and Chinese cold appetizers. And don’t skip the dessert stationβ€”there are plenty of sweet treats to end the meal. Considering today’s dining prices, the value here is outstanding for the variety and quality you get. Whether you’re dining with family, meeting friends, or celebrating a special occasion, it’s a place that offers something for everyone. One of our favorite buffets in San Diego❀️

Update: I’ve been here about 10 times in the past few months as of May 2026. Here are my tips: 1. Ask to be seated where the male waiters are. The females have a cold demeanor and are not polite by American standards. 2. Ask to be seated in a booth with a chandelier. Otherwise, the restaurant is way too dark. 3. Avoid lobster night (Thursdays) because the lobsters don’t come out nowhere near quick enough and there are not enough for the restaurant. Plus, they are half lobsters. Meaning that even if you do snag one, it will only be a handful of meat. And you pay more! About a third of the time, the crab legs are overcooked and it’s a chore to get them out the shell and 2-3 times they have been wayyyy too salty to the point where I can’t finish them. To recap: 1. Ask for male waiters 2. Ask for well lighted seating 3. Avoid lobster night I’ve been here 3x. Price is about $45/person as of early 2026. I like their sushi and shrimp. I’ve had a couple of dishes that were too salty though. Good beer prices. $7 for a frosty mug (about 24 oz) of Modelo. For improvement, I suggest offering different species of oysters, I like the smaller ones. And add lobster tails.

Just had dinner and it was good ! I'm sticking to cooked food the hibachi was delish, King crab legs, duck, shrimp, cooked gratin musles, salmon, prime rib, salad bar and fruit. They have raw bar that looked fresh but I don't eat raw food. Good service and they keep the tables clean. I recommend and would come back πŸ™‚
